Summary

A Senior Business Analyst will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, leading on the feature definition and management of a product or products, and supporting a Lead Business Analyst on more complex deliveries and services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to mentor and be a role model to other less experienced colleagues in the community. You'll also be an active participant in the DVLA Business Analyst community, as well as working with communities across Government.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the business Service Designer to define the broader, more strategic outcomes of the roadmap for any given product and decompose this through epics, features and through user stories
  • Manage investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing and new services. Drives the analysis and collection of information and creation of to create recommendations for service improvements. Analyses large amounts of complex information and uses it to produce solutions
  • Facilitates agile workshops and discussions to gather fit for purpose functional and non-functional requirements and documents them appropriately.
  • Own stakeholder relationships and be a leader in seeking solutions to real business problems through influence, facilitation and communication while shaping and challenging current business practices to increase efficiency within the organisation
  • Be a mentor and role model to other less experienced colleagues in the community and have line management responsibility of Associate Business Analysts. Manage community of practice activities within a business area, as well as working with communities across Government
