Summary

Are you passionate about creating safe and supportive environments for learning and work? Bishop Auckland College Group are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and ensure a positive culture of health, safety and wellbeing across our community.

As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Group to meet its legal obligations and best practice standards in health and safety. You will work collaboratively with staff across all departments and sites to promote a safe, healthy and compliant environment for students, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will provide profession advice and guidance on all aspects of health and safety; conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections; support incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Health & Safety or closely related discipline, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, NEBOSH (or be willing to complete within 18 months) and First Aid at Work (or willing to complete within 3 months).

We’re looking for someone with a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a diverse organisation

Grade: harmonised pay scale 25 (unqualified)-27 (qualified) (£27,685.06 - £28,978.95 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week, permanent position

This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
