Summary
1/ To provide an integrated clinical leadership to a small team of nurses within the Service Team in order to care for patients with cancer to the highest possible standard and develop practice with the support of the ward manager. 2/ The post-holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in his/her clinical area. 3/ When working at Bracknell Clinic or West Berkshire Community Hospital, the post-holder manages the chemotherapy service on a day-to-day basis reporting to Ward manager at RBH. 4/ To assume responsibility for the operational management of staff and resources in order to provide a safe environment; in the absence of the ward sister, taking a lead in a specific aspect of ward management.
