We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected sixth form and FE college in Redbridge, seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Lecturer to join their dynamic team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of care professionals.
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care courses
- Teach core topics such as human lifespan development, working in health and social care, and health & safety in care settings
- Create high-quality lesson plans and schemes of work aligned with BTEC/NVQ specifications
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, helping them achieve their full potential
- Track learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement interventions when required
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous curriculum development
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- A relevant degree in Health & Social Care or a related field
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care in a post-16 or FE setting
- Familiarity with BTEC or similar vocational qualifications
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for student success and progression
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience in a professional care setting (e.g. nursing, social work, health services)
- Experience supporting students with UCAS or career applications
- Familiarity with online learning platforms such as Teams or Moodle
