34 hours per week

Temporary up to 31 March 2028
An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop a career in social care administration. We currently have a Fostering Service Support Officer post available within Childrens Social Care services in Bridgend. This post will be required to work 34 hours per week and the working pattern will be:
Monday to Thursday - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Friday - 9.00am to 4.00pm
You would provide a range of business support activities to the Fostering and Placement Service Teams to enable it to meet its statutory obligations and provide timely and effective services, focusing on finding families for children in our care.
As a Fostering Service Support Officer, you will assist Social Workers and Team Managers within the service on a daily basis, working closely with them to deliver effective administrative support in line with statutory requirements as well as agreed departmental standards and procedures.
You will be confident and pro-active, not afraid to use your initiative, with excellent organisation and communication skills. The role requires candidates to possess experience in administrative and/or financial practices/procedures.
Experience of minute taking, or a willingness to learn this skill is required.
