Summary
To ensure safe management of patients within the ophthalmic directorate. To participate in outpatient clinics, theatre and triage, and provide autonomous care in general and sub-speciality clinics and theatre procedures based on relevant skills and experience. To participate in the review process of referrals from other specialties regarding clinical management, rehabilitation, and discharge planning. To actively support the team in providing timely care and management of patients (triage of referrals, staff/ patient queries, perioperative care/ reviews, organizing/ performing operating lists etc). The post holder will be expected to take on leadership roles to support the development of services in the unit. The post holder will actively participate in service improvement and be willing to take up additional responsibilities appropriate to the post to help safe running of service.
