Wakefield Inclusion Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Support Service (WISENDSS) are seeking a Specialist Learning support Assistant to work within our Vision Impairement Resource at Crofton Academy.
We are looking for a motivated individual to provide excellent support to our visually impaired pupils within the resource base and mainstream classes.
We are looking for motivated professionals to provide excellent support to our visually impaired pupils that enables them to access learning and social opportunities alongside their peers.
Experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities, particulary visual impairment would be an advantage however training will be given to the right person;
Good communication skills;
Ability to work as part of a team with ability to also show initiative;
Commitment to helping children learn and make good progress;
Optimism, sense of humour and ability to solve problems;
A willingness to learn;
An excellent work ethic.
This post is term-time 32.5 hour/week

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosure Application Form and to provide criminal conviction information.
