Summary

We're looking for a Senior Civils Estimator to join our Natural Resources Nuclear & Networks team for Southern Water framework

Location: Crawley

Hours: 40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Civils Estimator, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in maximising the commercial position of Kier whilst securing opportunities in line with our contract objectives.

What will your day to day look like?

Your day to day will include:

-Leading the estimating process within the bid or framework teams from receipt of documents to handover to the delivery teams.

-Preparation and representation of the estimate bid team meetings and final settlement of bid

-Initiate technical queries and ensure design sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings

-Technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontract quotations including selection of prospective sub-contractors

-Use of estimating software as a basis of preparing the estimate, RIB Candy or similar software.



What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Civils Estimator is great for you if:

-Degree/HNC qualified in a construction or civil engineering related subject

-Experience working as an Estimator for a major civil engineer contractor

-Commercial awareness with a knowledge of various forms of contract - NEC, ICE and IChemE
