At The Amwell, we’re on a journey and we’re looking for a Deputy Manager who’s ready to walk alongside us, lead from the front, and help steer our beautiful home through its next chapter.
Set in the picturesque market town of Melton Mowbray, The Amwell is a luxury, 88-bed residential care home offering an all-inclusive living experience. With a superb 9.9 score on carehome.co.uk and a stunning riverside setting, we’re proud of the community we’ve built but we know there’s work to be done.
Our current CQC rating is Inadequate overall, despite receiving 'Good' in Caring and Responsive. With a new, highly experienced Home Manager, a hands-on Senior Leadership Team, and daily support from our regional quality team, now is the time to make meaningful change and we need a Deputy who can help lead it.

What we’re looking for
Proven experience in a senior role within a residential care setting
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and the ability to drive improvements
Confidence to make quick, safe decisions and lead by example
A people-first mindset and passion for mentoring and developing others
Organised, resilient, and proactive someone who thrives under pressure
