Summary
Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £23,909 with progression to £24,876 per annum (Pro-rata) Hours: 15 hours per week. 3 x 5 hour shifts We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our dynamic team in our Ramsgate Safe Haven. Ramsgate Safe haven is an out of ours community crisis service that is open 365 days a year to support people in mental health crisis. We work closely with other Havens as well as other mental health professionals. We have a key focus on marketing and engagement in the local area to help ensure we reach as many individuals as possible. As a peer support worker your main purpose will be: To have lived experience, and the knowledge gained from that experience, will be the foundation of your peer support, helping build connections between peer support workers and the people they work with. (You will have knowledge/willingness to familiarise yourself with the PSW Competency Framework, 2020 Peer Support Workers in MHM work alongside Recovery Workers and other staff, their role requires that they draw directly from their own experience of mental health difficulties or caring for someone who experiences mental health difficulties.
