We're on the lookout for a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Head of Fleet to lead our national fleet operations. You'll oversee everything from vehicle procurement to compliance, ensuring our fleet is safe, efficient, and future-ready. This is a key leadership role at the heart of our Distribution function - with the opportunity to make a real impact on sustainability, safety, and operational performance across the UK business.

Purpose of the role

As Head of Fleet, you'll take ownership of our national vehicle fleet - leading on strategy, safety, compliance, and performance. Your role is to ensure our vehicles are always fit for purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with our operational and environmental goals.

You'll work closely with depot teams, senior leadership, and key partners to keep our fleet running smoothly - and to ensure our logistics network can continue to deliver life-saving healthcare products across the UK.

How you will make an impact as Head of Fleet at Movianto:

  • Develop and deliver the UK fleet strategy across commercial vehicles and company cars
  • Oversee all aspects of fleet management: procurement, maintenance, renewals, disposals, and rentals
  • Lead our in-house team and external suppliers to maintain a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective fleet
  • Champion safety and compliance - owning Operator Licence management and serious incident reporting
  • Partner with Finance on cost control, budgeting, and forecasting across the fleet
  • Drive innovation - from vehicle specification to carbon footprint reduction
  • Keep systems and fleet technologies up to date, using data to drive performance improvements
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships across H&S, Quality, legal teams, and service providers

What it will take to thrive as Head of Fleet at Movianto:

  • Proven experience leading fleet operations in a logistics or regulated environment
  • CPC National or International qualification (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of fleet compliance, vehicle safety, and UK regulations
  • Experience managing complex budgets and supplier relationships
  • Excellent people leadership and team development skills
  • Tech-savvy approach with fleet systems and reporting
  • Understanding of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) or similar industry standards
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving ability
