Summary
You will work within the Reading and Development Team, which leads on the delivery of programmes that promote reading for pleasure, learning, and engagement. The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise administrative, operational and technical support within the team, while also supporting frontline delivery and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and supervise day-to-day administrative and operational support across the Reading and Development Team.
· Act as the first point of contact for the team, providing a professional, accessible and customer-focused service to internal colleagues, partners, schools and families.
· Support the planning and delivery of reading and engagement activities for children and families in libraries, schools, and community settings.
· Participate in the delivery of events and activities for children and families.
· Ensure that resources, venues, and staff support are in place for successful service delivery.
· Maintain accurate records, prepare reports and monitor project progress as required.
· Contribute to the smooth running of seasonal programmes, including the Summer Reading Challenge, school visits, and outreach events.
We're looking for someone who
· Has strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience coordinating support for a busy team.
· Communicates clearly and professionally with a wide range of people, including families, schools, and colleagues.
· Is confident using IT systems and managing data or project tracking.
· Has experience working in a customer-facing environment.
· Is proactive, adaptable, and able to support both planning and delivery.
· Is passionate about delivering inclusive, high-quality services for children and families.
