Summary

Within Calderdale, the ICT and Digital service provides the technologies that underpin everything that the Council does. We develop, support and integrate some of the Council’s most critical systems and we have some exciting opportunities as we look to expand the team. The Council has ambitious transformation plans as part of its mission and priorities, so we are looking for talented people to join our friendly and highly experienced IT Projects Team in taking our exciting journey of transformation forward.
This is a technical role which encompasses the design, development (programming), testing, implementation and provision of ongoing support to our key in-house Database Systems (predominantly Oracle Databases, Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX) that are critical to the provision of Council services. This involves collaborating with senior system users and other stakeholders to improve ways of working across the Council and help them achieve their objectives in ensuring that Council Services are delivered as effectively as possible to local citizens.

Training will be provided in-house to any successful candidates by our Senior Software Developers.
Candidates must have a Level 3 (e.g. A-Level, BTech, AVCE etc) or higher qualification in an Information Technology or Software Development related subject.
