Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £36,000| 40 hours per week, mixture of Room-Based hours and Supernumerary Time

Our client, an Ofsted-rated Good nursery is looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the setting, with a balance of time spent in the room and supernumerary hours to lead, mentor, and manage. Set in a beautiful environment with a large garden and thoughtfully designed spaces, the nursery offers a warm, collaborative team culture and a strong focus on quality early years education and care.



What You’ll Bring:



  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)

  • Proven experience in a senior or deputy role in an early years setting

  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding practices

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and model outstanding practice within the room

  • Use supernumerary hours to complete management tasks and support team development

  • Oversee the implementation of the EYFS and ensure consistent, high-quality provision

  • Build trusted relationships with families and create a welcoming environment for all

  • Monitor health, safety, and safeguarding across the setting

  • Support ongoing staff training, appraisals, and reflective practice

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery’s practice and environment
