We Do What We Say

That’s why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done!

We’re proud to partner with South East Water, and we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Enabler/Surveyor to join our team.

In this key role, you’ll help improve water efficiency, support accurate billing, and reduce leakage by surveying water meter locations, assessing plumbing configurations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You’ll be the first on-site, ensuring planned works are safe, practical, and set up for success.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…

  • Survey internal and external water meter locations at residential properties
  • Assess meter sites for safety, accessibility, and installation suitability
  • Identify and record plumbing layouts, pipe materials, sizes, and flow direction
  • Recommend or carry out minor plumbing adjustments for meter placement
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulations and industry standards
  • Accurately collect and record meter data
  • Produce clear survey reports including photos, diagrams, and findings
  • Update asset management systems with survey outcomes
  • Engage with residents, landlords, or tenants to explain the survey process
  • Provide basic advice on water efficiency and identifying potential leaks
  • Highlight and help reduce blockers that could delay planned work

We would love to hear from you if...

You have proven experience or a strong understanding of plumbing or working within the water industry, and you're confident in identifying and assessing internal and external water meter types and their installation standards.

You're someone who approaches work with attention to detail, prioritises safety, and communicates clearly with both team members and the public.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Desirable qualifications include NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent), have experience using asset management systems, or possess training in water hygiene or confined spaces.
