- Facilitating social interactions and promoting the development of communication skills
- Offering emotional support and promoting positive behaviour management techniques
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with parents and caregivers
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities and qualifications:
- Be focused on working with children and young people with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- The ability to adapt to individual student needs and learning styles
- Previous experience working with children or young people with ASD (desirable)
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special needs support (desirable)
