About the job
A well-established secondary school in North West London is seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to Year 7 students. This role is full-time and long-term, initially offered through agency with the view to become permanent. The successful candidate will join a committed and inclusive team focused on supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.


About you
This position is ideal for experienced support staff as well as graduates who are keen to develop their careers in education. Ideally, candidates will have experience supporting SEND pupils, preferably within a secondary school setting. However, individuals from backgrounds such as private or group tutoring, youth work, mentoring, or holiday camps and enrichment programmes are also warmly encouraged to apply. Above all, we are looking for someone who can build strong rapport with young people, respond sensitively to individual needs, and contribute positively within a collaborative support team. The ability to adapt, communicate clearly, and engage students effectively will be key to success in this role.

Essential qualities:
-Proactive, patient and empathetic approach
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Experience supporting young people in educational or extracurricular settings
-Understanding of SEND and inclusive learning strategies is desirable
