We’re working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a Psychology graduate seeking hands-on experience in education before progressing into teacher training, educational psychology, or a related postgraduate pathway.

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a classroom setting
• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Assisting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning needs
• Creating tailored resources and supporting differentiated teaching strategies
• Encouraging progress in social skills, confidence, and resilience
• Supporting behaviour plans and promoting emotional wellbeing
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

• A 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or a closely related subject
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Experience working with young people (e.g. schools, tutoring, youth work, SEN support)
• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to inclusive learning
• Ambition to pursue a career in education, psychology, or mental health
