Summary


Penderels Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that provides advice and guidance to people with disabilities and healthcare needs living independently. We are looking for someone to provide management support to the staff in our Birmingham and Worcestershire Appointeeships team


Location: Hybrid – Office in Birmingham, B6 4AH. This role will be a mixture of office and home working, with an expectation to travel throughout Birmingham and Worcestershire

Salary: £32,666 per annum.

Hours: 37 Hours per week.

Days & Times: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Closing Date: Friday 15th August 2025

The Role – Your main duties will include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the office, including health & safety, budgetary control and key holder responsibilities.
• Providing training, supervision and support to staff working for the Birmingham and Worcestershire Appointeeships contracts.
• Participating in the recruitment and induction of new staff for the Birmingham and Worcestershire contracts.
• Working in partnership with local authorities.
• Preparing statistical information and management reports for internal and external partners.
• Overseeing the management of all services provided by the teams
• Providing necessary information and support to enable service users to develop and maintain their independent living schemes.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications – We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Previous supervisory/management experience
• Experience of working with people with disabilities
• Awareness of social care issues and disability legislation
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage, direct and motivate staff.
• Ability to work on own initiative and resolve problems with the minimum of support.
• Current and valid UK Driving Licence and have unrestricted access to a vehicle.
• GCSE (or equivalent) grade ‘4’ or above, in English and Maths
• Comprehensive understanding of all Microsoft software (Office, Excel, Word etc.)
