Summary
Eastern High are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and friendly librarian to run our Learning Resource Centre.This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the Eastern High family and inspire a love of reading in our pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, supporting pupils to choose books, managing the loan system, facilitating book clubs and managing the Accelerated Reading programme for Y7 and 8 pupils. This role is at the heart of our drive to support progression in pupils’ reading skills and their enjoyment of reading for pleasure.
The library is in a new, state of the art building and is rapidly expanding in terms of pupil numbers. Although designated an 11 - 16 school, we share our building with Cardiff & Vale College who provide Post 16 provision up to 19 yrs old.
Grade 5 Term time contract 37 hours, pro rata'd 39 weeks pa. FTE salary from £27,269 - £31,067
