Assistant SENDCo34 hours per week over 5 days (hours to be agreed) (Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)39 weeks per year (term time only)PermanentSalary NJC SCP 12 - 14 Pro-rata £22,135 - £23,627 (FTE £28,163 - £30,060) depending on experienceTo start as early as possible after appointmentInterview date to be confirmedAn opportunity has arisen to join our SEND team as an Assistant SENDCo to promote the progress and achievement of SEND students throughout the school. This role will be student-focused and will ensure high standards and expectations for both SEND students and staff.
This is a key role which involves working closely with the SENDCo and developing our SEND provision at St Laurence School. The role is suitable for someone who:
 Is interested in developing expertise which meets the current needs of the school.
 Has the ability to foster positive working relationships with parents, external agencies, staff and students.  Has good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy working environment and a wide variety of tasks.
 Can problem-solve effectively and independently.
 Understands and is mindful of the impact of decisions on the school, including budgets, students and staff and has in mind a whole-school focus when making decisions.
