Summary

Are you looking for a rewarding and energetic role this summer? We are hiring enthusiastic Summer Camp Instructors to join an exciting holiday camp based in Essex.

As part of the Activity team, you'll deliver a variety of games, sports, and creative activities to groups of children in a supportive, well-organised setting. This role is ideal for anyone with experience working with children-whether you're a teacher, coach, youth worker, or simply someone with bags of energy and a passion for fun.

This is a temporary full-time role working regular school hours throughout the summer holidays.

You'll be working in a welcoming and positive team where ideas are encouraged, and safety, enjoyment, and inclusion are at the heart of everything. Full training and activity plans are provided to help you hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a variety of age-appropriate activities, including sports, games, and arts


Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all children


Work collaboratively with fellow camp staff and team leaders


Manage behaviour and maintain high safety standards at all times


Communicate clearly and confidently with children and parents


Support the setup and pack-down of camp activities


Follow policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety


Qualifications and Experience

Experience working with children aged 4-14 in any setting


Confident leading group activities or lessons


Excellent communication and behaviour management skills


Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


Energetic, proactive, and reliable


Sports coaching, teaching, childcare, or youth work experience is desirable


A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
