Summary


It’s an exciting time to join Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. We are recruiting 2 band 6 Pain Nurse Specialists to join our dynamic team as we implement a 7 day pain service. The Paediatric Pain team sits within the Division of, Paediatric Critical Care, Anaesthetics and Complex Medicine (Paediatric Oncology, Haematology, Stem Cell Transplant and Gene Therapy). This is an amazing opportunity to join the team as a pain nurse specialist providing clinical and professional leadership, strategic development, and quality improvement.

We’re looking for motivated and passionate individuals to bring enthusiasm and excellence to our team which provides a broad range of high-quality, specialist services to our patients and supporting the team to be the best that they can be. The post holders will report to the Lead Nurse, providing visible leadership across a clinical service setting, monitoring and maintaining professional high standards.

The post holders will be expected to provide clinical expertise and knowledge, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment and management of the client group.

There is a requirement for weekend working to cover the 7 day pain service

Permanent - Band 6 Children’s Pain Nurse

The Children’s Pain Team are looking for committed individuals to join the team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for improving Pain Management by accurately assessing pain, adopting a holistic approach whilst utilising both pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain strategies.

The successful applicant will need to be motivated and enthusiastic with good leadership and excellent communication skills.

The position will develop and expand existing teaching skills.
