Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Conwy to assist with the appointment of a Facilities Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.65 - £16.06 per hour
Summary:
Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a motivated and proactive Facilities Support Officer to join the Facilities & Environment team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of various council facilities, ensuring that buildings are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in facilities management or building operations, looking to contribute to essential public services.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the coordination and delivery of facilities management services across council buildings.
Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure buildings remain in good working order.
Report and follow up on building faults, repairs, and health and safety concerns.
Support the management of contractors and service providers carrying out work on site.
Monitor and manage supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operational delivery.
Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths -essential
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline desirable
Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH or equivalent) -desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience in a facilities support or building maintenance role essential.
Requirements:
Understanding of building systems and health & safety requirements
Full UK Driving Licence -desirable
