Summary
As part for a team of two, this role forms an integral part of the Group Financial Reporting team and is responsible for processing, analysis and oversight of the groups consolidated result and financial position, supporting the regular financial reporting cycle fulfilling all the Group reporting requirements to head office and the PRA.
Support the Group’s month end, quarter end and annual group closing processes, collaborating with subsidiary companies and their branches.
Preparation of quarter-end group analysis to the parent company under IFRS. Adhering to tight deadlines.
Support the Group’s month end, quarter end and annual group regulatory closing processes under Solvency II, collaborating with subsidiary companies and their branches.
Monitoring the monthly reinsurance bookings made by UK and European finance teams and responsible for preparing quarterly reinsurance statements with the main, working closing with and supporting UK and European finance teams.
Preparation for the statutory financial statements for the group.
Includes:
- Preparing cash flow analysis to support value of subsidiaries,
- Oversight and technical judgements for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle across the UK operating entities and business lines.
- posting audit adjustments, providing information to the auditors.
Prepare monthly analysis for VAT returns,
Support the whole Group finance team with ad hoc queries and provide cover for annual leave.
Supporting UK and European Finance teams with training on group topics.
Support resolution of queries raised by with both Internal and External Audit
The successful candidate will have a least 3 years insurance industry financial reporting experience and will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) of qualified by experience with a strong track record of delivery within a financial reporting role in the Insurance industry.
