POST BECOMES VACANT ON 01/08/2025- Applications are invited to a locum training post in Neuropathology (6 months). Applicants should have passed the FRCPath part I examination. They will enter training at ST3 level. Candidates must be on the GMC Register by date of appointment.

Applicants should have at least ST2 level Histopathology knowledge and a strong interest in Neuropathology Diagnostics, specifically in surgical neuropathology, and molecular pathology.

Training will be offered in the Department of Neuropathology, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology and National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of University College hospitals NHS foundation trust.

Applicants are expected to report surgical neuropathology diagnostic cases alongside with our consultants, and there will be opportunities to participate neuromuscular diagnostics.

Applicants with knowledge of advanced diagnostic techniques, specifically molecular pathology of CNS tumours and their diagnostic integration are highly encouraged to apply. The close interlink of our neuropathology department with clinical neurosciences and basic research institutions opens unique opportunities to pursue research projects.
