About the role
The Open Access (OA) Agreements team sits within our wider OA team and is responsible for overseeing the successful commercial rollout of OA Agreements on a global scale. The team collaborates closely with local institutional sales teams to build, model, negotiate, support, and monitor transformative agreements, fully OA agreements, and OA book partnerships. OA agreements play a crucial role in the global transition to open access, joining our team offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing area within the business.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Open Access Agreement Team on a fixed-term basis. You will support the team in managing data and preparing supporting materials related to commercial OA publishing agreements with institutional customers.
This role is offered on a fixed-term basis, starting as soon as possible and finishing mid-December 2025. It is located in our London office on a hybrid working model.
Role Responsibilities:
• Assist in compiling, validating, and maintaining data related to institutional OA publishing discussions, negotiations and agreements
• Conduct basic analysis and summaries of data relating to publications
• Prepare and format supporting documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Create material such as presentations for OA and Sales Teams
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates as needed
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot reports and familiarity with presenting data in visual formats
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
• Experience or interest in academic publishing, commercial teams or Open Access is a plus
