Role
Role & ResponsibilitiesYou will be working closely with students aged 5-11 or 11-16 providing individual and group support tailored to their specific needs. You'll be assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive learning atmosphere, and helping students to reach their full potential. You will also be actively involved in planning and implementing engaging learning activities.
Main tasks include- Supporting students with their learning, both individually and in groups
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Developing and implementing individualised learning plans
- Working closely with parents and other professionals to support student progress
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children with SEN in a UK setting
- Experience working in a primary or secondary school environment
- A passion for supporting children with learning difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive and patient attitude
- Commitment to providing high-quality education
- Creativity and enthusiasm for working with children
- Relevant qualifications or experience are desirable
- Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices
