Site Facilities Manager SGS Oakhanger, Bordon, Hampshire, GU35 9HU Full time, Permanent
- 39 hours per week, Monday

Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Site Facilities Manager to join the team based at SGS Oakhanger located in Bordon, Hampshire. The Facilities Manager will provide the focal point for all matters within their area of responsibility in the Skynet Contract and will act as a leader in the management of the FM Department.

This role will support the Contract Manager in delivering and fully implementing policies, best practices, and legislative requirements at a complex site whilst providing leadership to the operational support staff in their front-line service delivery roles and will be appointed to a single site.

Main Accountabilities:


- Direct, coordinate, and plan essential hard and soft facilities management (FM) services, including both planned and reactive maintenance for all infrastructure assets on site, such as electrical systems (generation, UPS, etc.), mechanical systems (HVAC, etc.), grounds maintenance, pest control, fire safety, and more.
- Represent Serco within the Skynet Contract in compliance with the Serco Management System (SMS), engaging with relevant internal and external organisations and key stakeholders.
- Maintain a proactive approach to meeting statutory compliance, service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, safety regulations, continuous improvement, and other contractual obligations.
- Act as an Authorised Person for Electrical and Mechanical Systems, providing a Safe System of Work in accordance with MOD JSP375.
- Develop and manage budgets for site operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Ensure that the site and its operations comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and manage the aftermath effectively.
- Contribute to long-term planning for asset and equipment improvements and capital projects.
- Serve as the appointed Site Fire Officer and Responsible Person for Legionella and Asbestos, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Foster a culture of safety across the FM department, ensuring a robust assurance framework for health, safety, and environmental regulations.



What you’ll need to do the role:


- Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Good level of IT and MS Office skills
- Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain clearance
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of health and safety
- Ideally have a history of working on MoD establishment(s) or within an MoD environment
