Hours: 27.75 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Maybury Primary School opened in 2025 for primary 1 and early years pupils only. From August 2025, the school will be open for all stages, and we are therefore recruiting a Pupil Support Worker to join our team.
We are looking for a conscientious, committed candidate with excellent inter-personal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to work with our staff team to shape and develop our new school. Previous experience of working in a school as a pupil support assistant will be an essential attribute for the successful candidates.

Please note that these posts are subject to review and also have a mobility clause meaning there is a chance successful candidates could be moved to a different school in the future.
Pupil Support Worker do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays, however total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments, over the year. There are also opportunities to work in a holiday hub provision during the school holidays for successful candidates looking to work during the school holidays.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
