Looking for a rewarding and challenging new role with a commitment to improve children’s lives?

We are looking for proactive and dedicated HLTAs to join our fantastic teams. Your role will be vital to the education team. The position involves contributing to lesson and curriculum planning, delivering lessons and interventions to support our pupils across a range of abilities and needs to progress and thrive.

This is a great opportunity for dedicated individuals to help develop creative learning opportunities for children with Learning Difficulties. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure. You will be working in one of our schools where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to supporting our children, we never settle for second best. We want individuals with a passion for learning, who share our vision to promote incredible futures for all.

Previous experience working in an SEN environment would be desirable, you should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the right motivation, and strong levels of resilience, as well as a strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Park View School

Set in the annex of a large house in a suburb of Coventry, Park View School has large grounds and excellent resources. The school caters for boys and girls from 7 – 18yrs, with severe learning difficulties and speech, language and communication needs. Pupils are likely to have a diagnosis of autism, all will have an EHCP.

Car Dyke School

A newly registered school in Lincolnshire, Car Dyke offers excellent facilities and extensive grounds and is intended to cater for boys and girls from 8 – 18yrswith a range of SEND. All pupils will have an EHCP.

Duties and Responsibilities

- To ensure that all policies implemented by the schools are actively upheld and promoted
- To build and maintain positive, constructive working relationships with pupils,
families, professionals, and colleagues, to maintain the overall ethos and vision of our schools
- To assist in the preparation of classrooms for lessons
- To support teaching staff by planning and leading enrichment and learning activities, both within and outside the classroom
- To deliver lessons independently, ensuring effective classroom management and setting clear learning outcomes
- To provide 1-1 or small group support when required
- Offer pastoral support to pupils, including those who are unwell, destressed or require emotional reassurance
- Committed to working with the staff team to ensure the highest levels of safeguarding are always upheld.
