The Housing Solutions Officer - Housing plays a vital role in providing effective housing solutions and support services to individuals and families seeking assistance in securing safe and affordable housing. The Housing Solutions Officer will be responsible for developing housing plans, assessing eligibility for assistance programs, and advocating for individuals to ensure they receive the help they need. Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine clients' housing needs and eligibility for available programs.
Develop and implement individualized housing plans tailored to client circumstances.
Provide information and resources to clients about available housing options and support services.
Collaborate with local agencies and community organizations to enhance housing resources and initiatives.
Advocate on behalf of clients to secure necessary housing assistance and services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and case progress.
Monitor and evaluate housing solutions for effectiveness and suggest improvements where needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, housing policy, or a related field.
Prior experience in housing assistance or a similar role is highly desired.
Strong understanding of housing regulations, programs, and community resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to assess complex situations and develop actionable solutions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
Commitment to social equity and improving community access to housing resources.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
