The Opportunity
We’re seeking adaptable and organised Senior Electrical Engineers to join our client’s growing Electrical Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile energy infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally, supporting the nation’s transition to Net Zero.

The role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and cost-effective engineering designs. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet requirements and industry standards.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Capture technical requirements and interface constraints in accordance with project standards and processes (e.g., requirements management using tools like IBM DOORS).
- Translate high-level requirements into validated and testable electrical designs.
- Perform design validation and functional analysis, potentially using modelling and simulation techniques.
- Develop and review test procedures and specifications to demonstrate that design requirements are met.
- Interface with external organisations including regulators, clients, and suppliers to discuss and refine system designs.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams to integrate electrical designs into larger systems.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

- Degree or HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards CEng/IEng.
- Eligible to obtain UK security clearance.

It’s great if you also have the following

- Strong technical and practical engineering skills with a consistent ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work.
- Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles, with an understanding of related disciplines.
- Experience working on large or complex infrastructure projects, ideally involving close collaboration with client engineering teams.
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant UK and international electrical standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Flexible and proactive, with the ability to apply engineering expertise to new challenges.
- Competence in industry-standard software including Microsoft Office, ETAP, Aveva 3D, or equivalent engineering tools.
