Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)
Salary circa: £43,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan!

Typical day as Optimisation Manager
- Carrying out system surveys, analysing data and reviewing reports, to spot where our heating and cooling networks can do better. You'll use your experience of communal or industrial gas systems and plant rooms to provide guidance and key technical information to improve performance for clear optimisation plans that shape short and long-term action.
- Keeping a well-maintained database of technical records across our heat network portfolio including systems, technology and building fabric. You’ll provide an accurate picture of how our heat networks are performing, guiding our customers, colleagues, and Senior Leadership teams.
- You link data with grant opportunities, helping us unlock extra funding to stretch our investments further.
- Tracking and sharing the impact of every improvement, so we know what’s working and that our customers feel the benefit. You keep our customers informed, working closely with our Heat Networks Manager so they are aware of changes and how it benefits them.
- Keeping up to date with the latest updates from OFGEM and other regulators to make sure we always remain compliant.

You have
- Experience working with heat networks or district heating systems, especially in housing settings or complex buildings.
- A qualification in Commercial Gas Engineering (or equivalent) and a strong knowledge of plant room engineering, boiler systems and pipework distribution in housing.
- An eye for detail, able to read a technical report, analyse data to spot risks / opportunities, and shape a strong action plan to drive improvements.
- A natural problem-solver who keeps one eye on compliance, one on the customer, and one on future innovation (yes – that’s three eyes, You get the idea!)

Job details
- 37.5 hours per week. You’ll manage your own diary.
- This is a hybrid role, and you’ll spend a minimum of two days in the office, others working at home or across our property locations where required.
- Able to use technology for record keeping data analysis and reporting.
- A full current driving licence as you will be required to travel around our property portfolio and we’ll cover your mileage to do that.
