Summary


We are looking for motivated health care support workers to join our team and support the registered nurses. You will be delivering high quality care to babies, children, young people and their families within the children's outpatient setting and development centre. It is a busy department supporting multiple specialities and allied health care professionals. We also have a well established phlebotomy clinic.

You will have experience of working in a hospital environment or have worked with children within another setting.

We are a friendly forward thinking unit providing a high standard of care to our patients.

Shifts are 9 hours. 0800-1730 Monday to Friday.
1. Welcoming children and families to the department
2. Weighing and measuring children
3. Communicating well with the multi-disciplinary team and families involved in their child's care
4. Chaperoning clinical procedures
5. Opportunities for paediatric phlebotomy training.

There is a planned move for this service anticipated during 2026, when thisrole and base of work will be delivered on both Poole & Bournemouthsites. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder’s home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
