Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, and customer focussed Gas Engineers to join our Housing Service to assist in the delivery of our Responsive Repair and Empty Home programmes.

The Housing Service are responsible for repairing and maintaining in the region of 20,000 Council homes in Edinburgh, carrying out a range of work including planned maintenance, servicing and repairs.

We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others, customer focused and working in a fast-paced environment, then we would like to hear from you.

To be considered for the post you must have/be:

  • Completed an SVQ3 in Domestic Gas or Equivalent;
  • A valid CCN1 Certification;
  • A Valid CENWAT Certification;
  • A valid CKR Certification;
  • A valid HTR Certification;
  • A valid CPA1 Certification;
  • A high level of health and safety awareness;
  • A working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, standards and codes of practice;
  • A good communicator with good customer care skills;
  • A full clean UK driving licence; and
  • Available to participate in out of hours emergency rota.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
