Summary


We are currently seeking a Product Manager for our client who are based in rural Cambridgeshire and close to Royston. Within this role you will manage the existing portfolio of sensors within the range. Maintaining long term product roadmaps in alignment with product strategy. The role
You will review the existing product portfolio and actively manage their product lifecycles. Working closely with the Head of Sensors, and independently researching to deliver and maintain a 10-year product road map. Canvasing both existing and new clients to ascertain current and future needs. You will filter information accordingly to iterate improvements to existing products and creating new product requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Canvas opinion across the company’s end users, external partnerships and internal stakeholders to ensure products meet current and future needs
• Conduct product feasibility and market research to identify customer problems and make creative recommendations for new products
• Monitor global developments to establish a market leading position vs competition
• Develop and Maintain product roadmaps, consistent with the product market strategy and covering full product lifecycles
• Work alongside the Project Management Team, R&D and operations to ensure that all new products are delivered on budget, on time and in line with MRS
• Develop and implement go-to-market strategies including possible test marketing and launch activities
• Work with sales and marketing to identify early adopters and run beta trials with existing or prospective customers
• Provide product and applications support to the Sales team, further enabling them to secure business through our direct, global subsidiary and distributor networks, enabling delivery of the sensors sales targets
• Working with the marketing team to develop new content, events and webinars etc.
• Working with the wider commercial team to ensure our customers receive excellent customer service and support
• Visit key accounts and prospective customers
• Support all partners with product application training and information
• Attend exhibitions and conferences

The Person
For this important role we are seeking someone with the following skills and attributes

• An experience product manager, ideally within the gas detection industry with knowledge of gas sensing or leak detection products
• Ideally educated to Degree Level within Chemistry, Physics or relevant Engineering Degree
• Previous experience within a Product Management role of a physical product
• The ability to convey complex technical topics with simplicity both verbally and in written form
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of PID products would be highly desirable
• Experience of selling within EMEA and APAC would also be useful
• Knowledge of Hubspot of similar CRM
• Experience of selling products within the following industries
 Oil and Gas
 Petrochemical
 Pharmaceutical
 Environmental
 Air Quality
 Occupational Health and Safety

This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis. The salary offered is depending on experience and offers benefits.
