Summary

Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a Fixed Term basis until 1st October 2028.

Requirements

You will have a Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant area and Higher maths and a Science or Engineering Higher (Physics is preferred).

Or Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area and Higher Maths and a Science or Engineering Higher (Physics is preferred).

Or BBBB at Higher, including Maths and a Science or Engineering Higher (Physics is preferred).

Or equivalent (for example, an HNC equivalent might be: a relevant HNC with B in the Graded Unit, including Mathematics for Engineering 1).

Responsibilities

You will provide a Civil and Structural Engineering service as directed by the Senior Engineer, Team Leader and Head of Roads and Transportation.

The post holder will be expected to attend the University of Dundee for four years, with successful completion leading to award of B Eng (Hons) Civil Engineering with Industrial Experience. The post holder will also receive training to give an introduction to the wider practical aspects of civil engineering.

The Individual

You will have good communication skills, good administrative and organisational skills, proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Access.

You will have the ability to undertake site visits and surveys with a flexible approach to working hours.
