Reporting to: Head of Finance for North & Scotland

Essential: Working within the hospitality industry in finance

Salary: £35-38k plus car or car allowance

The role will include travel throughout the week to our wonderful locations to support and advise on various financial information including data, forecasting, tariff increases, budgets and general queries around the business.

Our North and Scotland region has grown rapidly over the last few years with ambitions for further growth this year and in the years to come. This role will report to the Head of Finance and support our North and Scotland Operations teams to manage all financial aspects and improve business performance.



Job Description

  • Proactively partner with the Operations Team to explore ways to improve financial performance by providing insightful reporting, support and recommendations.
  • Work with the Head of Finance to promote and build a strong financial control environment across all locations, ensuring location teams are complying with appropriate Company policies and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Support the monthly completion of trading accounts with operations managers.
  • Produce period end variance analysis, review trading accounts and support period end review process with commentary and insightful reporting.
  • Support Operations Team to produce accurate client and company forecasts and budgets.
  • Carry out financial audits on site and advise on financial process best practise.
  • Follow up on sites that fail financial health check audits with a visit and suitable support and advice.
  • Provide financial training and support.


Qualifications

  • Must be working in the hospitality industry in a similar position
  • Studying or part qualified CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a multi-location business within hospitality & catering
  • Experience in financial training
  • Commercial or retail finance experience
  • A lively, outgoing personality with proven ability to build rapport with non-financial managers.
  • A motivated, proactive and organised individual with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • A passion for delivering continuous improvement.
