Summary
To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical activities to meet the needs of the service in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures. Responsible for managing the service’s controlled Non-Medical Referrer (NMR) process, including the development and administration of NMR protocols.
Coordinates Radiology Quality and Patient Safety documentation, ensuring timely responses to incidents and complaints.
• Provides administrative support for Business and Governance meetings.
• Monitors care quality trends and reports findings to relevant forums.
• Utilises Microsoft Office tools and utilises own organisational skills to generate reports and track actions from learning outcomes, supporting specialty leads in quality improvement.

• Lead the development, review, and administration of Non-Medical Referrer (NMR) protocols, ensuring compliance with IR(ME)R and Trust procedures.
• Liaise with clinical staff, AHPs, GPs, and consultants to ensure referrals are clinically justified and appropriately escalated.
• Manage the Radiology Approval Register and ensure timely submission and registration of approved protocols.
• Facilitate training and enrolment of new NMRs and monitor compliance with referral protocols.
• Act as a key point of contact for NMR-related enquiries, complaints, and protocol breaches, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Support Radiology Governance processes, including incident investigations, DATIX follow-up, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative support for departmental meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
• Maintain accurate records and databases and produce reports using Microsoft Office and Trust IT systems.
• Contribute to service improvement by monitoring trends, supporting audits, and participating in project work
• Utilise relevant Trust IT systems, as determined by the role, ensure all relevant patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines. These systems may include PMS (iPm from June 2007), EPR, Opera, CRIS, Ultra, Respond, IMPAC etc.
