Summary

To support and develop the delivery of medical education to medical students within Birmingham Community Trust Learning Disabiltty Services . To develop competence in medical education and specifically to develop teaching skills To be present day to day to guide students in their learning experiences, deliver small group bedside and seminar teaching, and participate in the day each week devoted to workshops and lectures. To develop teaching materials and enhance learning within the trust facilities Act as a role model and first point of contact for the student body during their time in Birmingham Community Contribute and participate in the assessment process for all Medical Students : case presentations at the end of each teaching week and summative assessments, likely to be OSCEs at the end of the academic year. The main responsibilities to include undertaking psychiatric assessments, arranging appropriate investigations, supporting the implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with the MDT. To carry out a full range of mental state examinations, medical assessment and treatment duties under the supervising Consultant. Completing the Medication reviews and writing of prescriptions under supervision of the supervising consultant
