The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our Democratic Services Team.
In this role, you will assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective Democratic Service function, and support the Directorate and Council in the delivery of key projects. The Democratic Services Team has responsibility for a range of formal and diverse meetings including School Admission and Exclusion Appeals. There will also be a requirement to support the organisation and delivery of elections.
The team works flexibly, meaning that there will be some working in the office, as well as working from home depending on the needs of the service.
About You
As a Democratic Services Officer you will be able to demonstrate your ability to monitor and manage your own workload, developing productive and effective administrative support as part of a team.
You will need to be highly organised, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to prioritise tasks in order to deliver an effective service.
Excellent IT/Systems skills are essential and you will need to be a good problem solver.
