Summary

Higher Education Learning Enhancement Coach

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College University Centre is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful Learning Enhancement Team.

The Learning Enhancement team support Higher Education students in achieving their academic potential. This includes coaching students on a one to one basis, in workshops and provision of online support. The successful candidate will need to be confident in developing their own resources that both staff and students can use to improve academic standards.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellent understanding of Harvard referencing, academic study skills and conventions, reflective writing and will be required to support the dissertation process. Proof reading is a required element of this role so outstanding literacy skills are required,

A key aspect of this role will be supporting the curriculum teams by offering support to those deemed as 'at risk' of underachievement.

A relevant Level 6 qualification is essential for this position. Applicants should also hold or be working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
