Summary
Due to a recent retirement, we are seeking a positive, committed, and forward-thinking individual to join our management team within the Community Re-ablement and Outreach Service. Our team plays a vital role in supporting individuals to regain and maintain their independence - whether through short-term re-ablement, long-term outreach, crisis intervention, night care, or social care support within the prison service.
Based in County Hall and working across the Island, our Assistant Managers provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to a large and diverse team. This role includes line management responsibilities and requires a proactive approach to supporting staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
We are proud of our achievements, including a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC, consistently positive feedback from the people we support, and a dedicated, flexible team that truly puts individuals at the heart of everything we do. Our service continues to grow, now supporting more people to return home from hospital and helping others to remain at home and avoid unnecessary admissions.
As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a strengths-based, person-centred service that maximises independence. You will report to the Registered Manager and work closely with the Deputy and other Assistant Managers to oversee daily operations, staff supervision, audits, and service development as we strive toward an ‘Outstanding’ rating.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in a health or social care setting
Minimum NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) willingness to work towards
Strong understanding of community-based care and regulatory frameworks
Flexibility to work a varied rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and participation in an on-call system
Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
