An exciting opportunity has opened at a well-regarded secondary school in Wembley, seeking bright and motivated graduates to join their team as Graduate STEM Teaching Assistants from September 2025.
This full-time, paid position is ideal for recent STEM graduates who are passionate about education and eager to support students in subjects such as Maths, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Computer Science, and Engineering. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers, gain classroom experience, and develop the skills necessary for a future in teaching or further study.
Role Overview – Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students’ learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of involvement in Key Stage 5. Your role will include:
• Delivering small group and one-to-one academic interventions.
• Supporting teachers with lesson delivery, planning, and resourcing.
• Assisting students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams.
• Developing your understanding of teaching strategies and educational needs.
• Gaining practical classroom experience under the guidance of subject specialists.
Who We're Looking For - Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant
We’re looking for graduates who are:
• Educated to degree level with a 2:1 or above in a STEM subject (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• Confident in their subject knowledge and eager to share it with students.
• Excellent communicators with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, professional, and enthusiastic about education.
• Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is beneficial, but not essential.
• Keen to pursue a future in teaching, educational leadership, or academia.
