Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Administrator in the Children in Care Health Team, you’ll be part of a compassionate and dedicated group supporting children and young people aged 0–18 who are in the care of or reside within Suffolk County Council.
You’ll be based at Violet Hill Surgery in Stowmarket, working alongside a team of specialist nurses and fellow Business Support Coordinators. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Children in Care (CiC) Health Hub.
- Coordinating a range of administrative and financial processes to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Supporting audits, monitoring systems, and general office duties.
You’ll play a vital role in helping the team deliver high-quality care and support to some of Suffolk’s most vulnerable children.

You will need
We hope you’ll bring:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with systems such as SystmOne and Liquid Logic (or a willingness to learn).
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- A compassionate, motivated approach and an understanding of the sensitive nature of the work.

The team
The Children in Care Health Team provide a specialist service to children and young people who are in the care of or reside within Suffolk County Council. Alongside the assessment, the CiC Nurse Team offers advice around the child’s physical, emotional, and mental health needs; information and guidance around the effects of a child’s health history on their development; referrals for treatment; monitoring of identified health needs; preventative measures and advice and guidance on promoting health and enhancing personal care.
