We're currently recruiting for a rewarding role in a welcoming and high-achieving school community:
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
- Location: Mainstream Primary School, London Borough of Barking & Dagenham
- Start Date: September 2025
- Pay: £95.00 - £115.00 per day
Our client is a vibrant, inclusive primary school with over 500 pupils, located in Barking & Dagenham. The school has a strong commitment to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we are seeking a dedicated individual to play a key role in their learning and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing tailored support to SEND students to help them access the curriculum
- Supervising pupils during lessons, break times, lunch, trips, and extracurricular activities
- Using positive behaviour strategies to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment
- Collaborating closely with class teachers and other professionals to deliver the best outcomes for pupils
Who We're Looking For:
- Someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
- Experience working with SEND pupils or vulnerable individuals in schools, healthcare, youth work, or social care
- Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and empathy
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn-training and CPD opportunities are available
