Summary

About you:

We're looking for therapist passionate about spa industry, wellbeing and hospitality, dedicated to generous customer care, with outstanding sense of aesthetic and high attention to detail. Someone who enjoys delivering high-end spa treatments and going extra mile for each guest, with respect to customer service for the purpose of delivering relaxing and memorable experience for others. You will be a driven, ambitious and independent team-player, with positive and welcoming personality and ability to build friendly relationships with colleagues and guests.


Essestial Requirements:

*NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent [must be recognised by a governing body, examples: City and Guilds VTCT, ITEC, BTEC, CIDESCO, CIBTAC]
*2 years experience working as a therapist

We're seeking a skilled and passionate Spa Therapist to join our team at the stunning St Sidwell's Point in Exeter. As part of Exeter Leisure, you'll have the chance to showcase your talents in our cutting-edge Leisure Hub. Working alongside our dedicated team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding spa journey for every guest. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives, helping them find balance and tranquillity in our modern oasis.
Responsibilities:
• Take charge of your daily treatment column - set up your room and prepare for the whole day of treatments, recognise and prioritise tasks to ensure smooth spa treatment delivery to all your guests during your shift, clean and stock up the room at the end of each working day.
• Each of our team members is regarded as the face of The Spa therefore you will be expected to consistently assist each guest in every step of their spa journey, deliver high standard of hospitality and customer care at all times.
• Demonstrate respectfulness, patience, and tact to help both spa members and spa day guests feel welcomed, comfortable and at ease.
• Use each generously timed treatment booking slot to approach all guests holistically and thoroughly focus on their needs and expectations (meet & greet, light & informal conversations, pre-treatment consultation, treatment delivery, homecare & wellbeing advice, retail recommendations, post-treatment hospitality, general care and going extra mile for each guest, to make their visit memorable).
• Continuously aim to be successful in your Spa Therapist role, keep updated with the latest industry techniques and The Spa’s procedures and standards, recognize and address any potential needs for further training or development, with respect to spa treatment therapies to provide exceptional customer service.
• We work as a team here at The Spa and each team member gets involved in every day’s spa operation, like reception duties, reservations, attending spa facilities, cleaning tasks, laundry handling.
• Work as part of the team towards common goals to achieve income, sales and standard targets.
• Manage product/equipment inventory and stock, ensuring steady supply as well as respect and take good care of all spa equipment & facilities, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at work.
