Summary
Actioning requests for the disclosure of information from Royal Air Force records of former/current RAF service personnel in accordance with DPA 18, Access to Health Records Act 1990 (AHRA), AP7004, FOIA2000 and JSP 441. Collating data from data owners, making appropriate searches (internally and externally). Monitoring the progress of allocated cases on ecase taking hastening action when required. Raise and despatch accurate disclosure in accordance with MOD guidelines. Ensure complex, sensitive, or contentious cases are referred to line management promptly. We are currently working an informal hybrid pattern, with an opportunity to work from home, where the business needs permit up to 40% of your working week.In the first 3-6 months you will be expected to be in the office more often to enable learning and establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
Main responsibilities include:
Receipt and acknowledge enquires requesting additional supporting documentation when required.
Accurate evaluation of requests. Maintain accurate audit trail on ecase.
Seek advice from line manager/medical governance officer when appropriate but specifically prior to the despatch of special category data.
Take appropriate despatch action ensuring information to be released is suitable and appropriate and accurate despatch letters are raised, including the production of non-template letters.
Ensure that no information is released which might constitute a breach of DPA 18, AHRA 1990 or FOIA 2000; apply relevant exemption clauses where required.
The team day to day administration.
Remain in date with all mandatory training.
Assist with any other duties/tasks, commensurate with the grade, as directed by Line Management.
