A leading Tier One contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly regarded business delivering major commercial projects across London and the South East.

With offices based in both London and Essex, the company offers hybrid working, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical works on projects typically valued between £1m and £50m. They will play a crucial role in the tendering process, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates

  
  

• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents

  
  

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and pricing

  
  

• Participate in value engineering and risk reviews

  
  

• Support the handover process from pre-construction to delivery teams

  
  Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical estimating within the commercial sector

    
    

  • Experience working with Tier One contractors or established M&E contractors

    
    

  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems in commercial environments

    
    

  • Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, ConQuest, or similar)

    
    

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
